{"id":45180,"date":"2017-04-26T09:25:43","date_gmt":"2017-04-26T07:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=45180"},"modified":"2017-04-26T09:25:45","modified_gmt":"2017-04-26T07:25:45","slug":"vincent-wandale-denied-bail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/04\/26\/vincent-wandale-denied-bail\/","title":{"rendered":"Vincent Wandale denied bail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Blantyre Principal Magistrate Court on Monday denied bail to Vincent Wandale who was arrested last week for allegedly obtaining money by false pretence.<\/p>\n<p>Principal Magistrate Innocent Nebi denied Wandale\u2019s bail application after analysing submissions from both Wandale and the State.<\/p>\n<p>In his application, Wandale raised a number of issues including his health, saying he needs special attention.<\/p>\n<p>The State asked for seven more days to finalise its investigations into the matter, arguing that releasing Wandale on bail would jeopardise investigations, according to Judiciary spokesperson Mlenga Mvula.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen the court scrutinised both submissions from the State and the defence counsel, it found appropriate for him [Wandale] to be kept for some days so that the State could still finalise its investigations.
