The draw could not get any tougher than Nyasa Big Bullets kicking off their last-eight campaign away to Silver Strikers in the first leg with the reverse fixture scheduled for the weekend of May 21.<\/p>\n
Bullets rivals, Be Forward Wanderers, too, earned a tough draw against their bogey team, Azam Tigers with the only consolation being that the cup-specialists will start at home.<\/p>\n
In the other quarterfinals, Kamuzu Barracks host Blue Eagles in the first leg with Moyale Barracks welcoming Mafco in the competition that will see an away goal rule apply.<\/p>\n
Reacting to the draw, Silver Team Manager, Francis Songo, staring at Bullets Coach, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan, did not mince words, saying: \u201cBullets have been paired against a snake.\u201d<\/p>\n
In response, Ramadhan said: \u201cFootball is about playing on the pitch. Prepare thoroughly for battle.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking before the draw, Airtel Malawi Marketing Director, Emmanuel Kasambara, said they were excited to contribute to football development through the cup.<\/p>\n
Fam Competitions\u2019 Sub-Committee Vice- Chairperson, Daud Mtanthiko, hailed Airtel for the three-year cup sponsorship worth K198 million.<\/p>\n
