Tawonga, who was until recently playing for Cypriot side, AE Zakakiou, has, according to Silver General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, swept Coach, Lovemore Fazili, off his feet.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are caught between a rock and a hard place. Despite announcing that we are done on the market, we have no choice but to open transfer negotiations with him,\u201d Nyirenda said.<\/p>\n
\u201cActually, it is now a question of agreeing personal terms with him. We need his experience. This is the guy who has played in two continents [including in Europe] for four clubs (Santos (South Africa) and Platanias (Greece). He has an option to go to a club in Finland but we have convinced him otherwise.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tawonga look set to reunite with his elder brother Young Chimodzi Junior and his father Young Chimodzi Senior, who is Silver\u2019s Technical Director.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been training with them for two weeks while weighing options in Finland and Sweden with my agent. As I wait for the options, Silver approached me and we are discussing,\u201d said Tawonga, who signed for Santos from Silver in 2006.<\/p>\n
