{"id":44253,"date":"2017-04-12T08:48:56","date_gmt":"2017-04-12T06:48:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=44253"},"modified":"2017-04-12T08:48:58","modified_gmt":"2017-04-12T06:48:58","slug":"gospel-musicians-take-easter-to-mchinji","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/04\/12\/gospel-musicians-take-easter-to-mchinji\/","title":{"rendered":"Gospel musicians take Easter to Mchinji"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a bid to commemorate the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, gospel artists have teamed up to take their message to Mchinji\u2019s Joe\u2019s Motel on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The artists include Favoured Martha, Miracle Chinga, Ronald Thamakera, Steve Spesho, Maxwell Olloto Lyton Nandolo, Levison Masamba, Clinton Esau and Farai Chazima.<\/p>\n<p>One of the organisers, Alex Nkalo, said everything is set for the show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are done with preparations and, as musicians, we are very optimistic that people will enjoy the show considering that Easter is a unique celebration. After all, Easter is the season we celebrate the death of Jesus Christ who died for all mankind. The same unity he brought us is what we are promoting,\u201d Nkalo said.<\/p>\n<p>Miracle Chinga concurred with Nkalo, saying people should also expect soul-touching songs that will transform their lives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are the light of this world and God expects us to bring light where darkness abounds so we also hope to win souls there during this Easter,\u201d Chinga said.<\/p>\n<p>The show will start at 11 o\u2019clock in the morning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In a bid to commemorate the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, gospel artists have teamed up to take their message to Mchinji\u2019s Joe\u2019s Motel on Sunday.
