Peter Wadabwa, Miracle Gabeya ruled out<\/p>\n
The Malawi National Football Team forward Peter Wadabwa and defender Miracle Gabeya have been ruled out of the African Nations Championship (Chan) preliminary round qualifiers against Madagascar.<\/p>\n
Wadabwa and Gabeya suffered injuries during training and will be sidelined for six and two weeks, respectively, the Flames Team Manager, Peter Mponda, confirmed Monday.<\/p>\n
The duo will miss the away match scheduled for April 22 in Antananarivo and the return game a week later.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is true that Wadabwa and Gabeya are injured but the doctor [Enock Mwale] is monitoring the situation. I doubt if we will have them in our games against Madagascar,\u201d Mponda said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Flames have relocated to Nchalo where they are training at Kalulu Stadium to get used to the natural grass.<\/p>\n
The Daily Times <\/em>has established that the match in Antananarivo will be played on natural grass and it is hot on the island, hence the Flames\u2019 relocation to Nchalo.<\/p>\n Kamuzu Stadium and Chiwembe Ground have artificial turfs.<\/p>\n \u201cThis week, we will be training in Nchalo because we have learnt that we will not use an artificial turf in Madagascar.
