Disagreements have emerged among Kenya football authorities on whether to cancel Kenyan Premier League games to pave way for a friendly between Malawi\u2019s Flames and the Harambee Stars of Kenya.<\/p>\n
Rep o r t s indicate that officials are currently facing a challenge of having all the players called for national duty as the game, which is scheduled for April 18, falls outside Fifa\u2019s calendar.<\/p>\n
Kenya is scheduled to go in camp today, but Capitalfm.co.ke reports that \u201cthere is currently a push and shove with the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) officials who are adamant to postpone some games to accommodate the friendly.\u201d<\/p>\n
KPL have lined up fixtures across the entire Easter weekend of April 14, 15, 16 and 17, just a day to the friendly match, according to the website.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Kenya National Football Team Coach, Stanley Okumbi, has drafted three National Super League players into his 25-man provisional squad ahead of the match against Malawi.<\/p>\n
Stars are fine tuning for the 2018 Africa Nations Championship (Chan) finals to be staged in Kenya next year.<\/p>\n
Vihiga United midfielder, Chris Masinza and Palos FC striker Morven Otinya, have also been drafted in the team for the first time while KCB forward, Crispinus Onyango, has been recalled.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Kenya have climbed 10 places in the latest Fifa-Coca-Cola ranking released on Thursday.<\/p>\n
