{"id":43103,"date":"2017-03-24T11:12:15","date_gmt":"2017-03-24T09:12:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=43103"},"modified":"2017-03-24T11:12:16","modified_gmt":"2017-03-24T09:12:16","slug":"individual-chess-championship-on-the-cards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/03\/24\/individual-chess-championship-on-the-cards\/","title":{"rendered":"Individual chess championship on the cards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Southern Region Chess League (SRCL) will hold a self-sponsored individual chess championship early next month.<\/p>\n<p>The region\u2019s Chess Coordinator, Kissinger Kabuluzi, said the competition was aimed at preparing players for the forthcoming national championship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt the moment, we are collecting pledges but I can assure the chess fraternity that we will give outstanding players some good prizes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach player will be allowed to conclude his game within 90 minutes. If a player fails to manage the time, then automatically they will lose the game,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Kabuluzi said they have introduced month-end series of tournaments to keep players active.<\/p>\n<p>Registration fee is pegged at K1,000 per players and the completion is open to ladies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Southern Region Chess League (SRCL) will hold a self-sponsored individual chess championship early next month.
