George Mfune of Chiputula Township in Mzuzu says he is ready to take Blantyre by storm.<\/p>\n
Mfune, popularly known as Grove Joker on stage, says his dancing antics have been polished and he is set to showcase dancing skills from Mzuzu.<\/p>\n
He is also confident of winning Kajive Season 3, whose winner walks away with the prize of K2 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cJudges should expect a tough ride in deciding on who has made it. I have had enough preparations and I want to go as far as the final,\u201d Mfune says.<\/p>\n
Twen ty-eight-year- o ld Mfune is unemployed. He earns a living through selling second hand clothes at Mzuzu\u2019s Zigwagwa Market.<\/p>\n
Mfune, who is married, says he gathered courage to participate in the completion considering that Kajive Season 3 is the first for Mzuzu participants, who have been sidelined in previous editions.<\/p>\n
\u201cDancing has always fascinated me but I lacked a platform to showcase my skills. Even though the first two editions did not include Mzuzu, I hopped a day would come for us and here we are. I would like to go far without limitations in the competition<\/p>\n
\u201cI am ready to stun judges with my dramatic performance become I am a sensational dancer,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
His dance, he says, is inspired by both local and international musicians and dancers.<\/p>\n
Internationally, Mfune is inspired by Usher Raymond\u2019s impeccable dance moves and high charisma.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been watching his videos and what he mesmerisingly does with his body. The videos show how extremely talented he is and I was so amazed with it that I started practicing.<\/p>\n
\u201cI gave myself a period to grasp Raymond\u2019s smooth transitions and the heavy foot work, skills, and moves until I got the point,\u201d Mfune says.<\/p>\n
Although it is the first time to take part in the completion, Mfune is sure that his time is now.<\/p>\n
He says this is because there are few participating groups and individual dancers in the competition, giving people like him the chance to shine.<\/p>\n
