{"id":43029,"date":"2017-03-23T09:19:21","date_gmt":"2017-03-23T07:19:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=43029"},"modified":"2017-03-23T09:19:23","modified_gmt":"2017-03-23T07:19:23","slug":"unicaf-cheers-the-sick","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/03\/23\/unicaf-cheers-the-sick\/","title":{"rendered":"Unicaf cheers the sick"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unicaf University Malawi (UUMA) donated assorted items to mothers at Bwaila District Hospital in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>The University\u2019s Rector, Kuthemba Mwale, said the young mothers and their infants are future leaders and hence need proper care to grow well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe share in their experiences and as conscientious citizens, we try to support them in whatever they are going through,\u201d Mwale said.<\/p>\n<p>The donated items included sugar, baby nappies and soap.<\/p>\n<p>One of the beneficiaries, Elita Banda, said the items would go a long way in helping her.<\/p>\n<p>Ward In Charge, Elistiner Kayange, said the donation was timely as the hospital is facing a lot of challenges, among them, limited resources.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we can give our patients medical assistance, there are other important things which we cannot give them and you have fulfilled that.
