{"id":42802,"date":"2017-03-20T08:46:05","date_gmt":"2017-03-20T06:46:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=42802"},"modified":"2017-03-20T08:46:05","modified_gmt":"2017-03-20T06:46:05","slug":"namwino-chipi-uses-music-to-promote-srh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/03\/20\/namwino-chipi-uses-music-to-promote-srh\/","title":{"rendered":"Namwino Chipi uses music to promote SRH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is not often that an artist specialises in one area and, yet, manages to reach out to all.<\/p>\n<p>But this is what youthful artist, Namwino Chipi\u2014 real name Chipiliro Chikhaula\u2014 has been trying to do since he broke onto the music scene with the song \u2018Uchembere Wabwino\u2019, a song which, according to the artist, aims to bring Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) messages to the youth.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest turn of events, the \u2018Uchembere Wabwino\u2019 hit maker has finished working on three soon-to-be released music videos.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have finished working on the videos, which I will release to the public shortly, in response to the positive feedback I got after releasing my second album <em>Nditumeni Ambuye<\/em>. It is part of reaching out to the youth and other people who do not care about SRH and other issues,\u201d Namwino Chipi said.<\/p>\n<p>The artist made a name in 2001, when he released his first single \u2018Ndimasilira\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Soon, the artist moved from the production of singles to releasing albums when he released his first album, <em>Yankho la Ambuye<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The album was produced at Tempest Studio in Zomba City.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, the artist released four singles, namely, \u2018<em>Ndine Namwino\u2019<\/em>, <em>\u2018Happy Birthday\u2019 <\/em>and \u2018<em>Ngiyakuthanda\u2019<\/em>. The singles tooled Afro-Pop genre.<\/p>\n<p>Namwino Chipi, a nurse by profession, says music lovers should expect more information pertaining to SRH in his compositions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It is not often that an artist specialises in one area and, yet, manages to reach out to all.
