{"id":42723,"date":"2017-03-18T08:03:42","date_gmt":"2017-03-18T06:03:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=42723"},"modified":"2017-03-18T08:03:42","modified_gmt":"2017-03-18T06:03:42","slug":"hockey-sides-eye-zimbabwe-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/03\/18\/hockey-sides-eye-zimbabwe-tournament\/","title":{"rendered":"Hockey sides eye Zimbabwe tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three local hockey sides have been invited to a tournament in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, during Easter Weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Hockey Association of Malawi (Ham) General Secretary, Chigo Thindwa, confirmed that Genetrix men\u2019s team, Simba and Nyala ladies sides are willing to play in the competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, they will confirm their participation by Monday, once they source funds,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Simba will visit Zimbabwe for the second time this year having also played strength testing matches in Harare.<\/p>\n<p>Thindwa said it was important for local teams to participate in such events and learn new tactics.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the kind of exposure we are looking for if our game is to develop.
