When using the service, unlike with Wi-Fi hotspot tethering, TNM customers need not be in close proximity with beneficiaries in order to share their data.<\/p>\n<p>Launching the service, TNM Chief Officer responsible for Consumer Services, Daniel Makata, said this is another unique innovation from TNM as the company continues to meet customer needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith this service, we hope to transform the lives of our customers through increased internet access as a result of sharing. One thing our subscribers should note is that this is not a one off sharing service but rather, our customers will be able to connect and activate selected numbers to their device for their desired period of time,\u201d Makata said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the initiative is also in line with the company\u2019s thematic campaign \u201cIt\u2019s Great,\u201d which seeks to offer nothing but the best to customers in line with Malawian values.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMalawians are well known for their generosity and hospitality. TNM, being a Malawian company, embraces this fact and would like to encourage it further through the data-sharing service,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The service is available for free to TNM customers. To access it, customers must go to Google Play Store and download the TNM Smart App to register for the service. Once registered, customers can add as many numbers as they please so that the beneficiaries enjoy internet access from the parent number.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cService is absolutely free and applies strictly to data bundles.
