Golden Arrows\u2019 Malawian defender Limbikani Mzava faces a further three weeks on the sidelines in the South Africa Premier Soccer League with a foot injury.<\/p>\n
Mzava, who has been one of Arrows\u2019 standout players since joining from Mpumalanga Black Aces in the off-season, sustained the blow in his team\u2019s 1-0 league win over Maritzburg United at Princess Magogo Stadium on March 4.<\/p>\n
Arrows Coach, Clinton Larsen, has consequently deployed Captain, Matome Mathiane, at the back.<\/p>\n
Larsen is contending with a lengthy injury list as Danny Phiri, Kagisho Dikgacoi, Vuyani Ntanga, Lehlohonolo Nonyane, Chiukepo Msowoya and Nkanyiso Cele are also on the sidelines.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s six, seven, eight… I don\u2019t know,\u201d said Larsen when asked about how many players are nursing knocks.<\/p>\n
\u201cEvery week there is one but I said last week, somebody asked me the same question and I said our club is structured in such a way that there is a very small core of senior players. It is about 16 or 15 and then the balance of the squad is made up of our Diski team.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we are the only team in the Premier League where the Diski team and the first team train together. So it makes it a lot easier for us when we do give them an opportunity because of the fact that they train with us every day.\u201d<\/p>\n
