{"id":42198,"date":"2017-03-10T09:07:36","date_gmt":"2017-03-10T07:07:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=42198"},"modified":"2017-03-10T09:07:39","modified_gmt":"2017-03-10T07:07:39","slug":"nicholas-mhango-back-at-moyale-barracks-fc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/03\/10\/nicholas-mhango-back-at-moyale-barracks-fc\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicholas Mhango back at Moyale Barracks FC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moyale Barracks FC have sacked Coach, Collins Nkuna, with the Mzuzu team\u2019s former mentor Nicholas Mhango set for a comeback.<\/p>\n<p>Mhango is expected to return from a peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n<p>The team\u2019s General Secretary, Precious Gausi, said the removal of Nkuna was made to avoid duplication of roles.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNkuna will be playing an advisory role, but as you remember, he took over from Mhango after he left for peace-keeping. Now he is returning before the kick off of the league. Therefore, we cannot have two head coaches,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Gausi further said Nkuna\u2019s deputy, Charles Kamanga, is the Interim Coach.<\/p>\n<p>Nkuna was not available for a comment, but Gausi said the changes have been communicated to the coach.<\/p>\n<p>Nkuna was fired as Red Lions coach midway the 2015 season before he joined Moyale Barracks last season.<\/p>\n<p>Under his watch, Moyale reached the 2016 Presidential Cup final which they lost to Nyasa Big Bullets.<\/p>\n<p>During a recent Malawi Defence Force gala held in Lilongwe, Moyale were awarded as the most disciplined among the army clubs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moyale Barracks FC have sacked Coach, Collins Nkuna, with the Mzuzu team\u2019s former mentor Nicholas Mhango set for a comeback.
