Central Region Volleyball League (CRVL) will kick off Saturday at Kumudzi Eco Centre in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n
The league\u2019s Publicity Secretary, Peter Pemba, said all was set for the throw off.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is also excitement among the teams because we have a new sponsor,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In League A for men, Mipuniro Spikers will face Bunda College at the same venue.<\/p>\n
Red Busters will meet ADL Spikers in League B also for men whereas Prison Troopers face Don Bosco.<\/p>\n
In the Ladies League, Blue Eagles will face Snipers whereas Bunda date Kamuzu Barracks (KB).<\/p>\n
The league will also hold a prize presentation ceremony on Saturday to recognise star performers for last season.<\/p>\n
The ceremony has delayed as the league, before securing K700,000 from Sempha Investments this week, had no sponsorship.<\/p>\n
Sempha Managing Director, Charles Zimba, hinted that his firm would sponsor the league for the next five years.<\/p>\n
Last season, KB finished as champions in League A followed by Lilongwe Spikers and Blue Eagles on second and third places, respectively.<\/p>\n
Lilongwe Smashers were crowned champions for League B whereas Busters finished on second position followed by Prison on third position.<\/p>\n
Eagles won the league title for the ladies\u2019 category whereas Snipers were runners-up. KB Community Day Secondary School settled for third position.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
