Nyasa Big Bullets board of trustees have agreed to hold the club\u2019s Executive Committee elections on March 18 at a venue to be announced.<\/p>\n
The trustees made the resolutions in Lilongwe on Saturday when they also streamlined some positions.<\/p>\n
The trustees had met to resolve differences that rocked the club after the annual general meeting (AGM) held in Zomba recently.<\/p>\n
But the Lilongwe indaba agreed that the positions of General Secretary and Treasurer should be replaced with permanent hired staff in line with commercialisation and Club Licensing System requirements.<\/p>\n
Trustees General Secretary, Jim Kalua, confirmed the streamlining of key positions, adding that the club will only elect a Chairperson, Vice- Chairperson and Publicity Secretary.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are going to sensitise the supporters so that they clearly understand the issue between commercialisation and ownership,\u201d Kalua explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have agreed to streamline some positions in the executive committee. We already recruited an administrator and by March 1, we will also employ an accountant. Employed staff will be more dedicated than volunteers.\u201d<\/p>\n
However, the meeting resolved that all aspirants for the polls should be scrutinised.<\/p>\n
