Bello and Wanderers are embroiled in a contractual dispute as the player is reluctant to renew his contract, demanding an improved deal.<\/p>\n
In the latest development, the striker was spotted at Silver Stadium on Thursday when he watched the team\u2019s training session.<\/p>\n
Silver General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, on Friday confirmed that Bello approached them for a possible transfer to the side.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was at Silver trying his luck. We told him to clear issues with his team first before we can engage in another discussion,\u201d Nyirenda said in a written response.<\/p>\n
The Nigerian is talented. He is good at taking on defenders and creating chances for teammates.<\/p>\n
The combination of Bello and Peter Wadabwa was effective for the Nomads last season.<\/p>\n
In a separate interview, Bello, though refusing Silver\u2019s claims, said he was still a Nomads player.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will be going to Blantyre to start training next week,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Nomads\u2019 Vice- Chairperson, Gift Mkandawire, who is responsible for players\u2019 contracts at the club, said he would comment on Bello next week.<\/p>\n
Bello, who netted three goals in all competitions for Wanderers last season, was also linked with a move to South Africa\u2019s National First Division side, Black Leopards.<\/p>\n
Silver and Nomads are not seeing eye-to-eye after the Lali Lubani Road outfit signed Lucky Malata from Silver on a three-year deal.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest that Silver are also interested in signing attacker Jabulani Linje from Wanderers.<\/p>\n
