This has also resulted into a protracted war of words between the players and his club.

For sure for the next two months, or so, we will also be watching the same comedy but with different protagonists and antagonists. That is the epitome of Malawi football.

It is confusing that instead of following simple procedures of terminating contracts with their clubs, players opt to cut corners.

This is a serious problem which needs divine intervention. A contract is a legal document and it cannot just be altered anyhow to suit one’s ambitions.

I am not surprised with these comedies because Malawi is a country where everything stopped existing 20 years ago. This is a country which is on auto pilot and it lost its compass long ago.

We have a generation of unfortunate footballers who lack proper managers to guide them.

Others may argue that there is need for proper civic education of our players on the issues of contract, but I do not subscribe to that notion because that would be a sheer waste of money and resources. All what they need are managers.

For the past two decades I have been in the tranches covering sports, football in particular, experience has shown me that Malawian players will never learn and it is a sheer waste of time and resources to reason with them Since Super League of Malawi (Sulom) opened the players’ transfer window last month there has […]

["post-40942","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry
["GET
