Gabadinho Mhango\u2019s agent has challenged the on-fire Malawian striker for an addition of a layer of consistency to his game in the South Africa Absa Premier Soccer League (PSL).<\/p>\n
In a telephone interview from Durban on Thursday, Mike Makaab spoke about his client following his brace that guided Bidvest Wits to a 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has fantastic attributes. He has what it takes to become a top -class modern striker because he is quick, powerful and his technique is good. He has everything,\u201d the Prosport International official said when asked about his impression of the Flames\u2019 striker.<\/p>\n
\u201cHowever, he needs to perform week-in and week-out then he can look at the bigger things in his career and play in Europe. The good thing is that he is playing under a good Coach, Gavin Hunt, in a challenging league. His club is also playing in Africa [at Champions League]. That gives him the platform.\u201d<\/p>\n
Following his double on Wednesday, Mhango, who was named man-of-the match, is now the second leading scorer in the PSL with seven goals, four behind Zimbabwean Tendai Ndoro of Pirates.<\/p>\n
Mhango has now scored five goals in the last three matches, having come off the bench to strike twice in the 5-0 drubbing of Ajax Cape Town last Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The former Nyasa Big Bullets forward also grabbed a consolation in Wits\u2019 2-1 loss in a Caf Champions League match in Reunion Islands last Saturday.<\/p>\n
Having earned Wits the MTN8 Cup earlier this season, Mhango hopes to help the Johannesburg side challenge for their first-ever PSL title.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll this cannot be possible without my team mates. This award is for all of them. It is tough. We must continue working hard,\u201d he told SuperSport Television <\/em>in a post-match interview.<\/p>\n Wits top the 16-member table with 31 points from 15 games with the Malawian as the club\u2019s overall leading scorer with over 10 goals.<\/p>\n In another post-match interview with SuperSport<\/em>, Hunt also said team-work provided the difference in the game against Pirates.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are trying a squad of players together and work hard for each other, \u201che was quoted as saying.<\/p>\n Still in the PSL, Baroka FC and Platinum Stars, featuring Robert Ng\u2019ambi and Gerald Phiri Jnr, drew 0-0.
