Former Nyasa Big Bullets\u2019 coach Lloyd Nkhwazi has rejected the position of Technical Director (TD) at Dwangwa United, saying he is not done with coaching.<\/p>\n
Last Saturday, Nkhwazi went to Dwangwa for a discussion with the team\u2019s Executive Committee, amid reports that the team was set to reunite with their former coach.<\/p>\n
But latest reports indicate that the team\u2019s management agreed to maintain Coach, Macdonald Mtetemera and hire Nkhwazi as TD, an offer which Nkhwazi turned down.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think I still have some years in football coaching so I told them that I cannot be a Technical Director now,\u201d Nkhwazi said.<\/p>\n
He said he may return to Dwangwa next month for further discussions.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe majority of people in Dwangwa want me to be the team\u2019s Head Coach because of my huge experience, so I will return to Dwangwa in March for further discussions,\u201d Nkhwazi said.<\/p>\n
Dwangwa\u2019s General Secretary (GS), Samson Zimba, was not readily available for a comment.<\/p>\n
The team\u2019s Chairperson, Anold Zenizeni, reserved his comment, saying he did not attend the meeting involving Nkhwazi.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Mtetemera has said Dwangwa\u2019s management has agreed to renew his one-year contract.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have discussed with management and everything is okay. You will hear it from management. We have since started pre-season training. But for the contents of the contract, the GS will be in a position to explain more,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mtetemera added that he was ready to work with Nkhwazi if the team decides to draft him in the technical panel.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Executive Committee has not briefed me about that development but, as long as the team is winning, I am ready to work with everyone who comes to work with me,\u201d Mtetemera said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
