Talk to <em>abambo <\/em>[Technical Director Robin Alufandika] because he is the one who has been changing goal posts on the duration of the contract,\u201d the attacking midfielder said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhatever the case, I do not see myself playing for Tigers next season. I will have to look for another team. I have served Tigers loyally for six years and that is enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It is believed that Chester, one of the most underrated attackers, has signed a pre-contract with one of the giants.<\/p>\n<p>However, Alufandika yesterday said Chester had one year remaining on his contract. The midfielder can play anywhere from midfield to upfront.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo team has approached us and we have not sat down to come up with his price. His contract has not expired,\u201d Alufandika said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe he does not want to play for Tigers. But that is not a problem. Let a team that is interested in him approach us and do a proper transfer like sportsmen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know there are teams that spend between K10 million and K15 million per month on players and we cannot compete with them as our monthly allocation is just K500,000.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Football Association of Malawi Transfer Matching System Manager, Casper Jangale, on Tuesday said Chester submitted to the association a copy of his resignation letter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt first he came to us saying he did not have a copy of his contract. When he received it, he came back to give us a copy of his resignation letter,\u201d Jangale said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis contract will expire in March next year but he is using an exit clause in the contract stating that he can terminate the contract after either serving a one-month notice or paying one-month salary in lieu of notice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The domestic transfer market is characterised by disputes over contracts.
