{"id":40523,"date":"2017-02-10T09:18:22","date_gmt":"2017-02-10T07:18:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=40523"},"modified":"2017-02-10T09:18:23","modified_gmt":"2017-02-10T07:18:23","slug":"poets-date-lovers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/02\/10\/poets-date-lovers\/","title":{"rendered":"Poets date lovers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blantyre-based poets, who recite under the banner \u2018Spokenword Poetry Blantyre Movement\u2019, on Tuesday date lovers at KwaHaraba Art Gallery in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>One of the organisers, Rabbie Kondowe, said on Thursday the event will be held from 6pm to 8pm as part of Valentine\u2019s Day celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>He said the \u201cspecial event\u201d would be hosted by television personality Sharon Chirwa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe event is dubbed \u2018Be My Valentine\u2019, Hashtag BMV, and the aim of the event is to bring lovers together at a place they will interact intimately through poetry,\u201d Kondowe said.<\/p>\n<p>But it will not just be a poetry party as acoustic musician Jonaah is set to perform.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the poets who are expected to perform include Mkango Gango, Chimwemwe, Gemini, Arthur, Godfrey Phiri and Tendai Scander.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blantyre-based poets, who recite under the banner \u2018Spokenword Poetry Blantyre Movement\u2019, on Tuesday date lovers at KwaHaraba Art Gallery in Blantyre.
