Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 Executive Committee has decided against releasing their talismanic midfielder Joseph Kamwendo to Masters Security FC on loan.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Wanderers\u2019 Vice- Chairperson, Gift Mkandawire, suggested that Kamwendo had genuine reasons for seeking his release as he needs to live closer to his mother who is ill in Mchinji District.<\/p>\n
However, the Nomads\u2019 General Secretary, Mike Butao, on Wednesday said Kamwendo only met one Wanderers\u2019 official who promised to revert with the club\u2019s official stand.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe do not stand to gain anything by loaning out Joseph. Our responsibility is to protect the interest of our club. Kamwendo said he wanted to be loaned out for six months. He then changed to the first-round only and eventually said one year,\u201d Butao said.<\/p>\n
He challenged Masters to formally approach Wanderers if they were interested in the former Orlando Pirates and TP Mazembe player.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday, Kamwendo told The Daily Times <\/em>that the Nomads\u2019 officials had granted him his wish to join a Lilongwe team, whose identity he refused to disclose<\/p>\n \u201cAfter I handed over my resignation letter, I was waiting for the response from them. We met on Monday and they agreed to let me go on loan.
