Nyasa Big Bullets\u2019 Coach-designate, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan, has proposed his backroom staff he thinks can help him turn around the fortunes of the deposed TNM Super League champions next season.<\/p>\n
In an exclusive interview on Wednesday afternoon from his Blantyre home, Ramadhan said he had opted for former Surestream Academy development officer, Patrick Kulemeka and current Bullets\u2019 caretaker coach, Elia Kananji, as his assistants. Swadick Sanudi will also be restored as goalkeepers\u2019 trainer.<\/p>\n
Ramadhan\u2019s proposal leaves out of the equation Llyod Nkhwazi who served as Head Coach in the 2016 season.<\/p>\n
Last season, Nkhwazi\u2019s backroom team included Rahim Ishmael and Mabvuto Lungu as team manager and assistant coach, respectively. Lungu and Ishmael were fired alongside Sanudi.<\/p>\n
When appointing him on Tuesday, Bullets gave Ramadhan a free hand to choose his own coaching staff.<\/p>\n
The Burundian-born coach justified his choice, saying he was looking for men who can help him create harmony between the technical panel and the players.<\/p>\n
\u201cLooking at my proposal, I have done this to make sure that Bullets should progress in all areas. I proposed Kulemeka because he is a developmental coach. He produced many talented players at Surestream and the guy is very conversant with information and technology,\u201d Ramadhan explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe that he will help me assemble a good squad that will last for a long time. I have also proposed Kananji because I was with him in 2015 and he did better with the team in 2014. Football is dynamic and I thought it wise to have him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ramadhan said the roping in of Chilapondwa in the panel was meant to give a chance for Bullets\u2019 loyal servants to serve in the club\u2019s structures.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was my player and I know him. Apart from that, he is studying sports management [long distance with University of Pretoria, South Africa] and that means he has enhanced his knowledge of football,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
The coach also said Sanudi deserves to be recalled as he has transformed up-and-coming goalkeepers such as Ernest Kakhobwe.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs I said earlier, all this depends on the approval of the executive,\u201d he said, adding that he will make a few additions to the squad.<\/p>\n
Kulemeka confirmed that Ramadhan approached him with the offer. Kulemeka said he will wait for a meeting with Bullets\u2019 management on the same.<\/p>\n
Bullets\u2019 interim General Secretary, Grivin Kalozeni, Friday confirmed that Ramadhan had proposed Kulemeka, Sanudi and Chilapondwa for his panel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
