Following his recent injury, boxer Isaac \u2018Golden Boy\u2019 Chilemba has found a way of keeping busy\u2014 he is learning to play the guitar.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe guitar is an instrument that I have always wanted to learn to play. This is what is keeping me busy at the moment,\u201d the boxer said in Blantyre on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Chilemba was forced to retire at the end of the eighth round against Ukrainian boxer, Oleksandr Gvozdyk, with a broken hand late last year. The bout took place in the United States.<\/p>\n
The light heavyweight boxer then underwent surgery.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy hand i recovering. As you may recall, I tore ligaments,\u201d Chilemba said.<\/p>\n
The 29-year-old was quick to point out that he will be back in the ring.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt will take a while. I am working hard to be back in the ring. I am optimistic that I will be back at the end of this year or next year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The boxer then thanked people for the support.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me assure them that I will always do my best to represent Malawi as far as boxing is concerned,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
