Football Association of Malawi (Fam) says it is leaving no stone unturned to make sure there is tight security when the Flames host the Warriors of Zimbabwe this Saturday in 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group L qualifier at Kamuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n
Fam general secretary, Suzgo Nyirenda, said the association had put in place measures to make sure there is tight security during the match.<\/p>\n
The GS said this during a press briefing at Chiwembe Technical Centre on the association\u2019s preparations for the match.<\/p>\n
Nyirenda said the association will deploy 350 police officers at the stadium to make sure that there are no acts of violence.<\/p>\n
Fam has also engaged 150 stewards who will be controlling the supporters.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a very important match to us as Fam and to the nation at large,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to tell all supporters across the country that the security will be at its best and I am here to encourage families to come on Saturday to watch the game.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tickets for the game are already on the market.<\/p>\n
