Dwangwa United Coach Macdonald Mtetemera\u2019s future at the TNM Super League club hangs in the balance.<\/p>\n
Mtetemera\u2019s one-year contract with Dwangwa expires this month, but the team\u2019s Executive Committee is yet to decide on him.<\/p>\n
Reports indicate that some officials, players and supporters do not want the coach\u2019s contract renewed.<\/p>\n
Sources said the coach is being accused of having too much power and that his relationship with some players was sour.<\/p>\n
Dwangwa\u2019s General Secretary, Samson Zimba, was non-committal on their position on Mtetemera.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is nothing on the table regarding the coach\u2019s contract but we will be meeting very soon where a decision on the future of the coach will be made,\u201d Zimba said.<\/p>\n
Mtetemera said he wants to stay put at the club, but it is the executive committee that has a final say.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt depends on what we will agree with the executive, otherwise I have formed a good team which I would love to maintain,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am not aware that some quarters do not want my contract renewed. If they are saying that, then I am ready to go home and start farming.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mtetemera, who achieved his target of ensuring Dwangwa\u2019s survival in the league in the 2016 season, had a torrid time at the club mid last season when he was suspended after some of his players rebelled against him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
