{"id":39206,"date":"2017-01-18T10:10:05","date_gmt":"2017-01-18T08:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=39206"},"modified":"2017-01-18T10:10:06","modified_gmt":"2017-01-18T08:10:06","slug":"51-coaches-earn-badges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/01\/18\/51-coaches-earn-badges\/","title":{"rendered":"51 coaches earn badges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some 51 out of 66 Northern Region football coaches have earned Football Association of Malawi (Fam) C-Coaching licences after undergoing a six-month training in Mzuzu.<\/p>\n<p>After presenting the certificates, Northern Region Coaches\u2019 Committee Chairperson, McNebart Kazuwa, said the training would contribute to football development in the country.<\/p>\n<p>He promised to in future include more women in such courses. There were only three female coaches during the training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs an as association, our expectations are high. This will help these coaches to teach their respective teams,\u201d Kazuwa said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition, we are also hoping to see grassroots\u2019 football soaring in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>One of female coaches, Hilary Munthali, who mentors Mzuni FC\u2019s ladies\u2019 team, Mzuni Sisters, said she was happy to attain the licence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was not expecting this as most of the times, we tend to think that coaching is for men only,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCoaching is a job that any other person can do. I have just proved that by earning this qualification.
