Barely a day after Master Security FC hired Oscar Kaunda as the team\u2019s assistant coach, fellow TNM Super League new boys, Chitipa United, have embarked on a hunt for a Head Coach.<\/p>\n
This comes after Chitipa\u2019s current mentor, Robert Mzinza, who earned them Super League promotion, confirmed that he will not be able to get the required Caf B coaching licence in good time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can confirm that I am not going to be the man behind the team\u2019s driving seat in this year\u2019s Super League season. I will not manage to get the required coaching licence before April. Hopefully, by the end of this year, I will get it,\u201d said Mzinza, who currently holds a Caf C coaching licence.<\/p>\n
He, however, said he will remain at the team to assist in other technical areas.<\/p>\n
Chitipa\u2019s General Secretary, Marshall Mwenechanya, on Monday said the team had no option but look for a qualified coach.<\/p>\n
Mwenechanya declined to mention possible names that will take up the job, saying the team\u2019s executive committee meeting to be held on Saturday will discuss the matter.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, [hiring a qualified coach] is one the critical areas that this team will look into before we even start our pre-seasons. But we need a coach who is capable to get the best out of this current squad,\u201d Mwenechanya explained.<\/p>\n
