{"id":38534,"date":"2017-01-06T10:21:57","date_gmt":"2017-01-06T08:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=38534"},"modified":"2017-01-06T10:21:57","modified_gmt":"2017-01-06T08:21:57","slug":"bingu-national-stadium-indaba-held","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2017\/01\/06\/bingu-national-stadium-indaba-held\/","title":{"rendered":"Bingu National Stadium indaba held"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Labour, Youth, Sports and Manpower Development officials yesterday hosted a stakeholders\u2019 indaba to find ways of dealing with teething challenges experienced at Bingu National Stadium (BNS) in Lilongwe on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting follows a traffic jam and security concerns that were epitomised by Nyasa Big Bullets\u2019 fan Beleti Severe\u2019s alleged assault of the ministry\u2019s Principal Secretary, Sam Madula, at the VIP section of the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Severe, who was arrested after the Bus Ipite Bonanza rematch involving Bullets and eventual winners, Be Forward Wanderers, is answering assault charges at the Lilongwe Magistrates\u2019 Court.<\/p>\n<p>Madula yesterday reserved his comment. He referred <em>The Daily Times <\/em>to the ministry\u2019s Director of Sports, Jameson Ndalama.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe condemn this [the attack of the PS] but the meeting did not discuss about that. It was a general technical evaluating meeting that tackled issues of congestion, coordination and control of the crowd,\u201d Ndalama said about the meeting that attracted Football Association of Malawi and the police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe submitted our concerns to the Road Traffic Department.
