Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 top scorer, Peter Wadabwa, is putting fingers crossed on his move to Japan after being given a two weeks\u2019 break due to an injury.<\/p>\n
Wadabwa and his team mate Joseph Kamwendo are reportedly scheduled to leave for Japan next week.<\/p>\n
In an interview yesterday, the former Thanda Royal Zulu player said he was praying for a quick recovery.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am feeling better and it seems it is not a serious injury. I am optimistic that by the time, I will be scheduled to leave for Japan, there will be some improvement. I will wait for my doctor to advise me on whether I can go or not. I am optimistic that all will be ok,\u201d Wadabwa said.<\/p>\n
The former Escom United and Silver Strikers\u2019 forward was substituted for Jafali Chande during the 3-0 demolition of arch rivals, Nyasa Big Bullets in the Luso TV Bus Ipite Bonanza at Kamuzu Stadium on December 26.<\/p>\n
However, Nomads vice- Chairperson, Gift Mkandawire, said Wadabwa\u2019s injury was not worrisome.<\/p>\n
Mkandawire said the two players\u2019 deal is part of promotion of their sponsor, Be Forward Limited.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will get him good doctors to ensure his quick recovery as soon as possible so that he might travel to Japan,\u201d Mkandawire said.<\/p>\n
Apart from winning the bonanza, Nomads displayed classic football towards the end of the season to claim the Fisd Challenge Cup and Carlsberg Cup.<\/p>\n
