The development has seen dancing groups such as Metics, Salama, Floor Steppers, and Twist being featured in many music videos and corporate functions.

Metics were Kajive season 1 winners while Twist were Kajive season 2 winners.

From the look of things, things are getting better for Kajive winners, with a number of individuals expressing interest in sponsoring some of the participating groups.

So far, two groups have already found sponsorship and effectively changed their names to Mchinji Boys and Merry Metrics.

More good news was revealed on Tuesday when Thambo and E Entertainment Co-owner, Mathambo Lowole, posted on his official Facebook page about his desire to sponsor “One or two” groups participating in this year’s competition.

Mathambo’s post reads: “I want to sponsor one or two Kajive contestant(s). #let’sdobusiness.”

Speaking in a separate interview, Lowole confirmed the development.

“It’s true that I want to sponsor one or two groups in the current season of Kajive. As a person who loves entertainment, I thought of balancing my act [and extending a hand to dancers] instead of just focusing on music promotion and organising events,” Lowole said.

Lowole added that he would like to continue working with the lucky group beyond the duration of the competition.

“I chose Kajive because it’s in line with the principles of our company, which is promoting young talent and helping the youth refrain from bad behaviour,” Lowole said.

Mathambo hailed Times Television for coming up with Kajive and said he wants to help because he understands that it is difficult for the television station to do everything alone.
