Second-placed Kaporo Stars want maximum points when meeting Nthalire United while hoping that leaders, Chitipa United, should lose to Mzuzu-based Mchengautuba United in another tricky decider.<\/p>\n
Chitipa wasted a chance win the championship and with it, TNM Super League promotion, last Saturday when they lost 1-0 to Kaporo Stars at Mzuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n
The win revived Kaporo\u2019s chances of winning the crown, while on the other hand putting the Robert Mzinza-coached Chitipa under pressure ahead of the final game.<\/p>\n
From 37 games, Chitipa have 86 points, two points ahead of Kaporo, who have a superior goal-difference of 66 against Chitipa\u2019s 62.<\/p>\n
Mzinza challenged that Mchengautuba cannot beat his charges at their own backyard.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is normal [to lose].That is how football is all about. It is good that we will be crowned champions at our backyard. We were leading in this game before it ended prematurely at home two weeks ago\u2014this tendency of replaying matches is not good,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Kaporo Stars\u2019 sponsor, Alufeyo Chipanga Banda, however, claimed that Chitipa win home matches due to referees\u2019 home-town decisions.<\/p>\n
\u201cChitipa do not play good football. In that game [which was abandoned], they were leading because they got some favors from match officials and this loss has really defined that they can be beaten whenever a neutral referee is in charge,\u201d Banda claimed.<\/p>\n
