Nyasa Big Bullets Chairperson, Noel Lipipa, has said they fired three members of the People\u2019s Team\u2019s technical panel due to alleged sabotage.<\/p>\n
The club on Wednesday night parted ways with Team Manager, Rahim Ishmael, Assistant Coach Mabvuto Lungu and Goalkeepers\u2019 Trainer, Swadick Sanudi, just a few days after the team lost miserably 3-0 to rivals, Be Forward Wanderers, in the first leg of Bus Ipite Bonanza.<\/p>\n
Lipipa said the sacked members of the panel were not advancing Bullets\u2019 cause.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were pulling in opposite direction. As an executive committee, we are doing our best to motivate the players so that we should defend the league and win the bus. They cheated us that the players trained on Wednesday, but we discovered that they did not,\u201d Lipipa explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo make matters worse, they told the players that only the first eleven would get a huge bonus and the players boycotted training. Actually, we did not know their intention and this is a clear sign that they were sabotaging us.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lipipa said following the sacking of the trio, Lloyd Nkhwazi will still be in charge of the team as Head Coach whereas as Assistant Coach Elia Kananji will double as Technical Advisor and Team Manager for the remainder of the season.<\/p>\n
Ishmael yesterday said he was not bitter.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have been part of the Bullets\u2019 family in my whole life and I will remain part of them. Let God forgive anyone who is accusing us of sabotage,\u201d Ishmael said.<\/p>\n
Lungu and Sanudi could not be reached.<\/p>\n
Bullets are hunting for their 14th league title as they are just a point behind leaders, Kamuzu Barracks (KB), on 57 points from 29 games.<\/p>\n
Bullets must beat unpredictable Blue Eagles tomorrow and hope that KB drop points against Dwangwa United at Chitowe Stadium on the same day.<\/p>\n
