Limbani \u2018Lion\u2019 Masamba underlined his supremacy when he defeated Kudakwache Banda through a technical knock-out (TKO) to be crowned National Super Welterweight champion at M1 Centerpoint in Lilongwe on Boxing Day.<\/p>\n
Heading into the fight, Kudakwache was hoping for a revenge having lost to Masamba in September this year.<\/p>\n
But Kudakwache struggled to match his opponent\u2019s aggression. Masamba dominated the fight, sending Kudakwache to the canvas twice, before knocking him out in the seventh round.<\/p>\n
In the sixth round, Kudakwache, who has lost two consecutive fights against Masamba, gave his fans false hopes when he unleashed good punches.<\/p>\n
After the bout, Kudakwache conceded defeat, but vowed to seek a rematch.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was one of the toughest bouts in my career. He had good training in Zimbabwe and Namibia, but one day I will revenge the defeat,\u201d said Kudakwache, whose record is 12 wins and two losses.<\/p>\n
Masamba, whose record is 16 wins and five defeats, said the victory was an indication that he was one of the best boxers in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cI knew that I would knock him out. He is too young for me,\u201d Masamba said.<\/p>\n
