Fisd Challenge Cup finalists, Kamuzu Barracks and Be Forward Wanderers, have embarked on a fierce exchange of verbal tirades as the day for the big match draws nearer.<\/p>\n
The two teams are set to battle for the cup on Saturday at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n
The soldiers\u2019 Team Manager, Francis Shaba, has said Wanderers are spending sleepless nights at the prospect of meeting his team.<\/p>\n
\u201cBlantyre-based Wanderers officials are all over here in Lilongwe. It simply means their camp is in cold sweat at the mere thought of playing us. They know we are on song and there is no team that can stop us,\u201d Shaba boasted.<\/p>\n
He said Wanderers are aware that their team cannot match the soldiers in all departments, hence their officials\u2019 camping in Lilongwe to shake off the fear factor.<\/p>\n
But his counterpart, Steve Madeira, said there was nothing wrong with Wanderers officials travelling to Lilongwe since they have been arranging the team\u2019s accommodation.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is normal to send advance parties to prepare for the arrival of a team. We are based in Blantyre and we need officials to travel to Lilongwe and finalise accommodation arrangements for our team. Why are they so concerned? Are they hiding something?\u201d Madeira querried.<\/p>\n
He admitted that their opponents are the team of the moment but said his charges would take them head on.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are ready to face KB anywhere. It is a fact that they are the team of the moment as they are also chasing the TNM Super League title. But sometimes it is good to go into such a big match wearing the underdog tag. We will be there to prove a point,\u201d Madeira said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
