Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 players will today put aside their rivalry and embark on a noble cause.<\/p>\n
The Blantyre giants will visit some Blantyre City primary schools, such as Chirimba, to encourage pupils on the importance of education.<\/p>\n
The players will also donate learning materials, such as books, to the pupils, courtesy of My Tsogolo Magazine<\/em>, which is championing a reading culture in schools.<\/p>\n A representative for the magazine, Teresa Huang, said the event has been organised to engage the pupils through their role models\u2014the footballers.<\/p>\n \u201cPlayers from these two clubs are perceived as role models in the country, so they have the power to influence and inspire these pupils to further their studies,\u201d Huang said.<\/p>\n She also said the event will act as a platform for exhibiting the first edition of the magazine, which aims at encouraging a reading culture among pupils.<\/p>\n She applauded Bullets and Wanderers for their contributions towards the cause. The teams will also give motivational speeches to the pupils.<\/p>\n Bullets have also donated K660, 000 towards the purchase of the learning materials to be donated to Maela Primary School, which is in dire need of such items.<\/p>\n The magazine will be launched on December 11, 2016 at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n Proceeds from the sale of the magazine will go towards the promotion of education among pupils.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Nyasa Big Bullets and Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 players will today put aside their rivalry and embark on a noble cause.
