{"id":36289,"date":"2016-11-25T11:14:38","date_gmt":"2016-11-25T09:14:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=36289"},"modified":"2016-11-25T11:14:39","modified_gmt":"2016-11-25T09:14:39","slug":"nomads-blues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/11\/25\/nomads-blues\/","title":{"rendered":"Nomads blues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The chopping and changing madness at the summit of the TNM Super League table continues with Blue Eagles taking their leadership turn after handing in-form Be Forward Wanderers a reality check Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Within a week, the league\u2019s leadership has changed from Nyasa Big Bullets to Kamuzu Barracks (KB) and now Eagles, who soared two points clear after coming from behind to see off Wanderers 2-1 at Nankhaka Ground in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles stretched their tally to 48 points from 25 games after pushing down to second place previous leaders, KB, who have 46 points from 25 games.<\/p>\n<p>At Nankhaka, striker Jabulani Linje put Wanderers ahead only for their former forward Victor Nyirenda to equalise for the hosts a few minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>It was a timely response from Eagles who lost 0-1 to the Nomads on Saturday in a Fisd Challenge Cup semifinal at Kamuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The first-half ended 1-1.<\/p>\n<p>In second-half, Stuart Mbunge fired Eagles in front to end Wanderers\u2019 six-game unbeaten run and hand Coach, Yasin Osman, his second loss in eight league and cup games.<\/p>\n<p>Wanderers are stuck on sixth place with 41 points from 26 games\u2014a hammer blow to their slim title aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>However, the Carlsberg Cup kings can make it a double when they meet KB in the Fisd Cup final on December 10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The chopping and changing madness at the summit of the TNM Super League table continues with Blue Eagles taking their leadership turn after handing in-form Be Forward Wanderers a reality check Thursday.
