Piksy has been billed as one of the artists to colour the launch of a new arts outfit known as Starz Entertainment at Blue Elephant in Blantyre on Saturday.<\/p>\n
In an interview on Wednesday, Piksy said he was ready for the show and that he would use the occasion to drop new singles, Kameneka<\/em> and Ndi Kungo<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cPiksy is back! That is what I can tell all my fans. I\u2019m working on an acoustic project but also on my third album titled Mtunda<\/em> at the same time. Two of the songs, which will be part of the album, will be performed at this launch,\u201d Piksy said.<\/p>\n The Uncle Short One\u00a0<\/em>star promised his fans more and said the two albums will be ready next year.<\/p>\n \u201cI am making strides as a musician and all I am trying to do is to bring to people mature music,\u201d said the former Airtel Malawi ambassador.<\/p>\n He said he has already worked on the video for Kameneka<\/em> and that its audio will be out on Monday.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are currently rehearsing for Ndi Kungo<\/em> but its audio will come out together with Kameneka<\/em>,\u201d Piksy said.<\/p>\n Starz Entertainment co-director Christopher Chirambo said on Wednesday that they were happy to engage musicians such as Piksy.<\/p>\n Chirambo said Starz Entertainment seeks to promote music talent among university students.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is a lot of talent in the universities. Some of the artists used to entertain us in those days but they are no longer active, so as a company we want this talent to come back to light,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n So many entertainment companies have come out promising the best for the industry only for them to disappoint artists.<\/p>\n But Chirambo said they were serious with what they are doing and that the launch was part of raising more funds for different projects.<\/p>\n Apart from Piksy, some of the artists set to light the launch at Blue Elephant are Nepman, Sir Patricks and Cyen 2 & 5.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have also invited some female DJs who will perform. We have a DJ competition involving female DJs. Also participating will be male DJs including the resident DJ for Blue Elephant,\u201d Chirambo said.<\/p>\n Commonly known as Khija, Chirambo said they will be going to universities to identify deejaying talent among students.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will be nurturing this talent until the DJs acquire skills that match with international standards.
