In-form Donbell Mandala continued with his outstanding form after winning HaBP Golf Tournament at Mulanje Golf Club on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Last week, Mandala also underlined his class to defend the Nico Life Insurance Tournament at Country Club Limbe (CCL) for the second successive time.<\/p>\n
Mandala, playing off handicap 12, grossed 65 points to beat his closest challengers during the tournament that attracted 65 golfers.<\/p>\n
\u201cMoments like these are rare. I am enjoying my golf at the moment and my performance is quite good. I am unstoppable,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mandala was rewarded with a double-door refrigerator, K50, 000 worth of fuel and five litres of engine oil.<\/p>\n
In the ladies\u2019 section, Doreen Kavala playing off handicap 24, emerged the winner with a gross of 79.<\/p>\n
Bhose Kamphulusa, playing off handicap 29, finished second when she posted 79 points.<\/p>\n
Kavala went away with a Defy cooker, K50, 000 worth of fuel and five litres of engine oil.<\/p>\n
Don Whayo won the seniors\u2019 category.<\/p>\n
HaBP Managing Director, Harold Lungu, registered the longest drive, but being the sponsor, he gave part of his prizes to his runner-up.<\/p>\n
\u201cI will split my prizes by giving senior golfer, James \u2018JJ\u2019 Chikapa, 20, 000 litres of fuel while the rest will go to Osman,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Lungu thanked their Mulanje customers, such as Eastern Produce and Lujeri, for their support.<\/p>\n
