{"id":35821,"date":"2016-11-18T09:38:30","date_gmt":"2016-11-18T07:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=35821"},"modified":"2016-11-18T09:38:31","modified_gmt":"2016-11-18T07:38:31","slug":"fdh-bank-partners-airtel-for-electronic-transfers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/11\/18\/fdh-bank-partners-airtel-for-electronic-transfers\/","title":{"rendered":"FDH Bank partners Airtel for electronic transfers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>F<\/strong>DH Bank has agreed a deal with Airtel Malawi to facilitate electronic money transfers for the bank\u2019s customers.<\/p>\n<p>This comes barely two days after the bank also unveiled its new digital platform, FDH Mobile, seeking to consolidate its strategy to move away from traditional brick and mortar to offer more easily accessible services to its customers.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new agreement, Airtel money merchants will be allowed to purchase their electronic value and do reconciliations through FDH mobi le platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Airtel Money Country Director, Chris Sukasuka, and FDH Bank Managing Director, Eric Ouattara, signed the pact in Blantyre Wednesday morning on behalf of the two institutions.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the press, Ouattara said the innovation is part of the bank\u2019s efforts to drive a technological revolution at the bank.<\/p>\n<p>According to Ouattara, the deal positions the bank strategically to meet its client\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTechnology is helping us deliver solutions to our customers,\u201d Ouatara said.<\/p>\n<p>Sukasuka, said the new platform addresses some of the challenges presented by traditional banking methods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis solution addresses the challenges in daily reconciliation faced by businesses that accept Airtel money as a payment method.
