Former Silver Strikers\u2019 forwards, Green Harawa and Chawanangwa Kawonga, have returned home after the expiry of their respective contracts with Mozambican clubs.<\/p>\n
Harawa is back after spending a season with Ferroviario de Nampula whereas Kawonga spent two seasons at Chibuto FC.<\/p>\n
The players are available on the transfer market as free agents.<\/p>\n
Kawonga on Sunday said despite several clubs being interested in him in Mozambique, he was willing to play in the TNM Super League next season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am looking at several options. Several teams want to sign me in Mozambique but the level of football is not competitive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Kawonga has been linked with a return to Silver but the player claimed that no deal had been agreed.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe owner of Chibuto FC wants to extend my contract, but he is currently in Brazil. I respect him so much and I want to discuss with him before making a final decision,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Nyasa Big Bullets have also been monitoring the player.<\/p>\n
Harawa said he was considering a return to Silver.<\/p>\n
\u201cSilver approached me to help them in the remaining games of the season, but I am still consulting,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
But Silver General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, claimed on Sunday that the two forwards might play for the Bankers next season.<\/p>\n
\u201cGreen will start training with the team on Tuesday [yesterday]. At the moment, the deal is 99 percent done. He is a good player and his experience will be crucial for the team next season,\u201d Nyirenda said.<\/p>\n
Malawian players have, of late, been returning from Mozambique.<\/p>\n
