{"id":35359,"date":"2016-11-11T10:44:28","date_gmt":"2016-11-11T08:44:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=35359"},"modified":"2016-11-11T10:44:28","modified_gmt":"2016-11-11T08:44:28","slug":"petroleum-importers-limited-commits-to-quality-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/11\/11\/petroleum-importers-limited-commits-to-quality-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Petroleum Importers Limited commits to quality education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL) has made a donation of K100 million to go towards construction of a multipurpose hall at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Luanar).<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the handover ceremony in Lilongwe on Tuesday, PIL Board Chairman, Zubeir Bhana, said the grouping is keen to support efforts aimed at promoting access to quality higher education.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere at Luanar, students learn in a make shift facility which is not very conducive and we felt duty bound to assist,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Bhana further appealed to the beneficiaries to take care of the infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur message to the direct beneficiaries of this donation is a simple request to jealously guard the infrastructure facilities within these premises so that even their siblings should use them in future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Luanar Council Chairman, Professor James Seyani, thanked PIL for the support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe infrastructure will provide a suitable environment for students to study and advance in their chosen field of specialisation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Petroleum Importers Limited (PIL) has made a donation of K100 million to go towards construction of a multipurpose hall at the Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Luanar).
