Dwangwa United Coach, Macdonald Mtetemera, has expressed his disappointment with his team\u2019s Fisd Challenge Cup exit after losing 1-0 to giants, Silver Strikers, at Silver Stadium on Saturday.<\/p>\n
In a post-match reaction, Mtetemera said his charges were just unlucky to lose the match.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe contained them for the better part of the game. We were the better team on the pitch, but Silver scored that lucky goal,\u201d Mtetemera said.<\/p>\n
He added that his side will now focus on the TNM Super League to survive the chop.<\/p>\n
Blessings Tembo scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute to inspire the Bankers to the last-four of the competition.<\/p>\n
It was Tembo\u2019s second successive goal in the competition having also scored in a 1-0 victory over Nyasa Big Bullets two weeks ago.<\/p>\n
The Bankers did not have an easy ride as Dwangwa controlled the proceedings with Cuthbert Sineta and Jack Chiona on top of their game.<\/p>\n
Chiona was denied by the upright after a header.<\/p>\n
After the game, relief was the prevalent emotion for Silver\u2019s Assistant Coach, Lovemore Fazili.<\/p>\n
\u201cDwangwa came to win the match but our experience was vital. Cup games are always tough and we are really happy to reach the semifinals,\u201d Fazili said in a post-match interview.<\/p>\n
The quarterfinals produced no upsets as Blue Eagles also advanced to the semifinals.<\/p>\n
