TNM Super League giants, Silver Strikers, have threatened to recall talented midfielder, Ndaziona Chatsalira, from Mozambican club, Ferroviario de Nampula due to their failure to honour transfer fee for the player.<\/p>\n
Chatsalira joined Nampula from Silver last year on a season -long loan deal.<\/p>\n
According to Silver\u2019s Acting General Secretary, Thabo Nyirenda, the Mozambican club failed to honour their promise to pay $6,000 (about K4.5million) as loan fee for the player.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe agent [James Pondamale] agreed to pay us $6, 000 for Chatsalira. He has not honoured the agreement and he has been elusive when we follow up on the payment,\u201d Nyirenda said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe clubs in Mozambique are not run professionally such that players from Malawi play without clearances from other FAs. It is difficult to enforce payment from Mozambican clubs. We have now closed the door for this agent.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pondamale yesterday said he will comment on the issue later.<\/p>\n
Chatsalira was one of the most outstanding players in the Mocambola League in the just-ended season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI enjoyed the first season in Mozambique. I hope next season it will be the best ever,\u201d Chatsalira said.<\/p>\n
Silver are not the only club struggling to get transfer fees from Mozambican clubs.<\/p>\n
Recently, Blue Eagles also threatened to recall midfielder, John Banda, and striker, Schumacher Kuwali, after the same club also failed to honour the agreement.<\/p>\n
Kuwali and Banda joined Nampula on a combined $10,000 (about K7.8 million) transfer fee, but the club only paid half the fee.<\/p>\n
Eagles are also waiting for the transfer balance of midfielder, Micium<\/p>\n
