Carlsberg Cup reigning champions, Be Forward Wanderers, will concentrate on available goalkeepers as their first choice, Richard Chipuwa, is still not showing up.<\/p>\n
Chipuwa stopped reporting for duties a fortnight ago following threats from Nomads\u2019 supporters after a poor performance during a 1-2 loss to Kamuzu Barracks in a TNM Super League match at Civo Stadium.<\/p>\n
Nomads are failing to get in touch with Chipuwa as reports indicate that he changed his mobile phone number and relocated to his home of origin in Zomba.<\/p>\n
Despite signing other goalkeepers, Peter Munthali, Nenani Juwaya and Cameroonian, Etoga Hamza, Nomads have been featuring Goalkeepers\u2019 Trainer, Valence Kamzere, in goals.<\/p>\n
Wanderers\u2019 Team Manager, Steve Madeira, said Chipuwa was incommunicado.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have no option. We need to use the available resources. We do not know where he is, but we are doing all we can to get him. He<\/p>\n
is still our number one [goalkeeper]. I am sure he will start playing for us again,\u201d Madeira explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe sat down with the senior players and looking at the experience of the goalkeepers, we thought it wise to keep using Kamzere. You can appreciate that Kamzere recently played three games without conceding a goal.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nomads are on position six with 38 points from 24 matches.<\/p>\n
