At a press briefing to announce the package, SAA Acting Country Manager, Lawrence Gwaza, said the sponsorship is meant to reward the agents for the business they give to the airline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe get about 67 percent of our indirect business through travel consultants. This means we must reward them through this incentive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Gwaza further said the tour will enable the consultants gain knowledge of SAA products in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe tour will provide enablers to them hence they will be able to deliver good service,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the travel consultants, Mike Mkangadzula of Rennies Travel, thanked SAA for sponsoring the trip.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very excited and I know I will gain a lot of knowledge about South African Airways and its products in South Africa and I will be able to tell the clients reliable information on tourist attraction places in South Africa,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Travel Consultants will be in South Africa for three days and are expected back in the country on Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South African Airways (SAA) has funded a familiarisation trip for travel agents to visit the airline\u2019s facilities in Cape Town, South Africa.
