{"id":34434,"date":"2016-10-27T07:44:35","date_gmt":"2016-10-27T05:44:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=34434"},"modified":"2016-10-27T07:44:36","modified_gmt":"2016-10-27T05:44:36","slug":"audloy-makonyola-bemoans-defeat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/10\/27\/audloy-makonyola-bemoans-defeat\/","title":{"rendered":"Audloy Makonyola bemoans defeat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Epac FC Coach, Audloy Makonyola, was left disappointed after Epac suffered their second successive defeat against Kamuzu Barracks (KB) to exit the Fisd Challenge Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s 4-2 defeat on post-match penalties at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe came after Epac also lost 1-0 to KB in a TNM Super League match at the same venue on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>KB have joined Zolozolo FC and Dwangwa United in the quarterfinals of the Fisd Cup.<\/p>\n<p>In a post-match reaction, Makonyola said his side were punished for failing to bury their chances in regulation time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe played well and we created some chances but we failed to score goals. Penalties are lotteries and I cannot blame my players,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we deserved something better from the game but such things happen in football.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dan Ziba, Pempho Kamsichiri, Zinjani Yona and Manase Chiyesa converted for the soldiers whereas Amadu Makawa and Mude Jeffrey also scored for Epac.<\/p>\n<p>Francesco Mkonde and Lyton Kapinda fluffed Epac\u2019s spot kicks.<\/p>\n<p>The victory was good news for KB mentor, Billy Phambala, who also praised his players for executing his game-plan well.<\/p>\n<p>KB are also in the league title race as they are fourth on the log table with 40 points from 22 games.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Epac FC Coach, Audloy Makonyola, was left disappointed after Epac suffered their second successive defeat against Kamuzu Barracks (KB) to exit the Fisd Challenge Cup.
