{"id":34291,"date":"2016-10-25T09:40:48","date_gmt":"2016-10-25T07:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=34291"},"modified":"2016-10-25T09:40:49","modified_gmt":"2016-10-25T07:40:49","slug":"toyota-awards-staff-in-national-skills-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/10\/25\/toyota-awards-staff-in-national-skills-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"Toyota awards staff in national skills contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toyota Malawi has underscored the importance of imparting technical skills to employees as one way of improving service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s Chief Financial Officer, Peter Matiru, said this in Blantyre at the weekend during the award presentation ceremony to employees who participated in Toyota\u2019s national skills contest in various categories.<\/p>\n<p>The employees contested in areas of vehicle servicing, new vehicle selling, motor parts selling, among other fields where employees work directly with customers.<\/p>\n<p>Matiru said the skills contest has been of significance for the company as employees from all its service centers across the country are able to share knowledge on how to satisfy the needs of their customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is part of skills development. We want our employees to share knowledge on how best to approach problems and by doing this, we are creating employees who will be able to satisfy the needs of our customers,\u201d Matiru said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the employees who emerged the best winner in the mechanic servicing category, Jeremiah Kapira, thanked Toyota Malawi for the recognition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s all about following procedures. Customers are happy when you are following instructions when working on their vehicles.
