South Africa National First Division side, Witbank Spurs FC, are reportedly assessing Premier Bet Wizards\u2019 striker, Grant Lungu.<\/p>\n
Lungu, who joined Wizards towards the end of the TNM Super League\u2019s first round after being idle for some years, featured once for the Peter Mponda\u2019s side.<\/p>\n
The former Bullets\u2019 prolific forward sneaked to South Africa\u2019s Mpumalanga Province a fortnight ago.<\/p>\n
He said he was optimistic that after parting ways with the then Absa Premiership side, Black Leopards, three years ago, he will make it at Spurs.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am trying my luck here. I was tipped by a friend that this team is looking for players and I thought it wise to come and see if they will be interested in me. I have played some friendly matches. I will try to impress,\u201d Lungu said.<\/p>\n
However, Mponda said on Tuesday he was not aware of Lungu\u2019s trials.<\/p>\n
Mponda and Lungu played together at Leopards.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe wish him the very best of luck. If he passes the test, we won\u2019t ask for anything [transfer fee]. He should use this chance to the fullest. I am sure this might be his last chance,\u201d Mponda said.<\/p>\n
